Privacy Policy

The short version: TravelCrafter has no account and no servers of our own. The details you enter stay on your device, and we do not track you, run analytics, show ads, or sell anything.

TravelCrafter is a travel and city-life planner. It helps you imagine, plan, and settle into life in a city: its timezone, weather, local context, places, and daily rhythm. This policy explains exactly what TravelCrafter does and does not do with information.

1. What you enter stays on your device

Everything you set up in TravelCrafter (your city, address, saved places, routine, notes, contacts, and related details) is stored locally on your device using the operating system's standard app storage. We do not have an account system and we do not operate servers that receive or store this information. It is never sent to us, and we cannot see it.

2. Requests to third-party services

To show useful, current content for the city you choose, TravelCrafter requests data from third-party services. These requests include the city name, approximate coordinates, or a search term. They do not include your name or identity. The services are:

• Weather and place lookup: Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com) for forecasts and geocoding, and Apple Maps / MapKit for searching and displaying places.
• News: public RSS feeds from outlets such as the BBC, NPR, CBC, ABC, NHK, DW, Channel News Asia, and Google News RSS.
• Public holidays: Nager.Date (date.nager.at).
• Local sports scores: the NHL public API.
• Events: the Ticketmaster Discovery API (ticketmaster.com) for concerts, sports, and arts events near the city you choose. We send the city's approximate coordinates and a date range, never your identity.
• Company logos: UpLead's public logo service.
• Connectivity status: to show where your internet connection is exiting relative to the city you are planning for, TravelCrafter can send your device's public IP address to ipapi.co to look up its country. This is used only to display that status to you. We do not store it.

Each provider handles its requests under its own privacy policy, which we do not control. When you open a place in Apple Maps or Google Maps, the address or search term is handed to that app or website and is governed by Apple's or Google's privacy policy.

3. Permissions

• Face ID / passcode: used only on your device to lock the app when you turn on App Lock. We never receive biometric data; your device handles it.
• Calendar (optional): if you enable pre-meeting reminders and grant access, TravelCrafter reads your calendar on your device to find your next meeting and schedule a local reminder. This calendar data is not transmitted anywhere.
• Notifications (optional): used to deliver the local reminders you set.

4. What TravelCrafter does not do

• No account, no login, no profile on our servers (we have none).
• No analytics or usage tracking.
• No advertising and no ad networks.
• No third-party tracking SDKs.
• We never sell or share your information, because we do not collect it.

5. Subscriptions

TravelCrafter offers optional auto-renewing subscriptions (TravelCrafter Pro) through the Apple App Store. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive your payment details, and that transaction is governed by Apple's privacy policy.

6. Deleting your data

Because your information lives on your device, you can remove it at any time by clearing it within the app or by deleting TravelCrafter from your device, which removes all locally stored data.

7. Children

TravelCrafter is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date above and post the new version at this address.
